    The issue of cell phones and cancer directly relate to Adrienne Massanari’s idea of the second wave of cyber-culture in “Critical Cyber-Culture studies”. She argues that we are mobilized in many ways in the “second wave”, as we are no longer bound to one spot by a cord or internet cafe. However, there are still controversies and questions in this second wave as far as safety and actual effectiveness goes, and the negative affects of cell phones is a lead in to this new “second wave”.
